Five-day Workshop September 2-6 2014 - Canada's Northwest Territories
"Come join award-winning Canadian creative landscape and wildlife photographer, artist, and educator, Dave Brosha for an action-packed five-day Workshop September 2-6 2014 in one of Canada's most beautiful northern settings, exploring the world of nature photography through a series of slideshows, talks, demonstrations, and hands-on shooting experiences. The work shop will be held at www.aylmerlakelodge.com
Over the course of the week, Dave will dive into a variety of topics, including compositional tips, the idea of making something out of nothing, exploring your photographic vision, and how to best use light to your advantage in any shooting situation. The group will take advantage of any golden light opportunities, and this will be a shooting-intensive opportunity with the goal of creating amazing images and dramatically improving your skillset as a photographer.
Dave will also dive into all the tools a successful landscape and nature photographer needs: from cameras to a discussion on filters to tripods to various lens choices (and how they impact your images) to the entire post-shoot workflow. This last discussion would cover editing, post-processing, and how to "get your images out there", so that they can be seen and appreciated by others. Essentially, he'll cover the entire "Landscape Photographer Workflow".

NEW eBook shows how to photograph Alberta's capital city
My new eBook, Photographing Edmonton, is now on sale to the public and would, I am confident, be of interest to many of the members of your club.
You can view sample pages, images and a description of the layout at the following link: http://blog.petercarroll.ca/?p=6042
The book is $15 and sold through E-junkie.
The book is my guide to where and how to photograph Alberta's capital city. I wrote the book to inspire photographers to explore Edmonton and tell their own personal stories of the city in photographs.
If you could share the link and spread the word about the book with your club members it would be very much appreciated. I would be more than happy to provide a free copy as a prize for any club contests or awards you have running. The winner can email me and I will provide them with a free download link which will bypass the purchase portal on E-junkie.
Cheers and happy photography!
Pete
