CAPS 2021 Photographer of the Year - Lori Kupsch
I've been a CAPS member for about 6 years. I've learned a lot and have made some great photography friends through CAPS. My interest in photography began at an early age. I remember playing with my parents Brownie camera when I was a child. I'd pretend to take a picture and then draw it. I received my first DSLR Canon T4i Rebel camera through my air-miles points about 8 years ago. It was at that point that I decided I wanted to learn to shoot out of "auto". I started taking online courses, hands on workshops and photography tours. My favourite type of photography is wildlife but I also love abandoned, landscape and macro photography. I purchased a kayak this year and that has taken my wildlife photography to a new level. It's amazing to have a loon swim next to you or watch a heron fish. I shoot with a Canon EOS 5Ds full-frame and my most used lenses are my Sigma 150-600mm telephoto, 16-35mm wide angle and 100mm macro lens.
