CAPS is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a seminar by renowned Alberta Photographers Darwin Wiggett and Samantha Chrystanthou. Darwin and Samantha are full-time, professional photographers based out of Cochrane, Alberta.  They are creative partners in life and work and enjoy sharing their photographic knowledge with other passionate shooters.  Renowned for their accessible and fun teaching style, Darwin and Sam conduct workshops and teach seminars on all things photographic.  Their educational, ‘how to’ eBooks are in popular demand, and they are often requested to be guest speakers for various photography events across Canada. Darwin and Sam can be found on their popular website, www.oopoomoo.com, where they share their photos, ideas and many free tips on all things photographic for all levels of photographers.

Tickets will be available to the Members only until August 18th,   Price $50.00 for the AM class, and $50.00 for either the afternoon or evening workshop. (NOTE; you must attend the AM class to attend one of the workshops)

Camera Controls Made Easy
Are you mystified by f‐stops and shutterspeed? 
Want to know how to pick the right aperture and shutter
speed every time? Darwin and Sam will reveal the three simple rules that will take the guesswork out of photography. 
Think of it as ‘new math’ without the hard numbers. Even advanced shooters will benefit from this dynamic duo’s unorthodox approach and creative ideas on understanding aperture and shutter
speed. Plus Sam and Darwin will show you how to ‘Expose right” for the best possible image data from
you digital camera.

The Camera and the Creative Eye
The most essentials kill you can master as a photographer has nothing to do with camera controls and everything to do with conceiving a photograph before you snap it. Samantha and Darwin will guide you on the path to mastering the ability to ‘see’the potential of an image in the jumbled, visual world
around you.

11:00 AM – 12:00 PM 
Personal Style and Creative Vision
Are you afraid of your photographs being lost in the vast array of images out there? Does your
photography feel stale to you? Samantha and Darwin will speak on the evolution of personal style in
photography and why you should be thinking more in terms of creative vision than personalstyle. Learn
to shootfrom yoursoul for compelling, unique imagery. See how two photographersshooting the exact
same subject at the same time will produce very different results when each photographer is shooting
fromthe heartfor personal expression.

Field Workshop (Session #1) Limit 20 students
Practice what you have learned underthe tutelage and guidance of Samantha andDarwin. Do the
structured assignments and getfeedback fromSamandDarwin in the field.

4:30 – 7:30 PM
Field Workshop (Session #2) Limit 20 students
Practice what you have learned under the tutelage and guidance of Samantha and Darwin. Do the structured assignments and get feedback from Sam and Darwin in the field.

Note the two Field Workshops contain the same content. Each student can choose only one Workshop Session
