Do you enjoy taking photographs but feel the photographs you take lack a certain flare that other people seem to capture in their photographs? Are you having a difficult time figuring out all the new features on your new digital camera so your camera just sits in it's case? Or maybe you have some fantastic photographs that you would like to share with others who can appreciate your talent. Well the members at the Central Alberta Photographic Society may be your answer.
Photography is just like anything else. To improve your photography you need to practice, practice and more practice.
Good photographers are those who are out photographing at every opportunity, learning from others and by teaching others and by learning from their own mistakes. Whether you are a novice or an advanced amateur, whether you just enjoy photography or like to compete with your images, our club can provide you with the opportunity to do all of these and then some. As we are a group of photographers interested in sharing techniques, knowledge and friendship among our members.
From September to May each year our focus is to teach, inspire and motivate our members with a wide range of topics for the novice through to the advanced amateur photographer. There are seminars, workshops, shows, field trips, and presentations by outstanding professional and advanced amateur photographers not to mention the numerous competitions you can enter, if you are so inclined.
Photographers of every skill level are warmly welcomed whether your interests are in black and white prints, color prints, slides or digital imaging. So come as our guest to a meeting or contact one of our executive for information on how to join and improve your photography. Come and share your vision with us. |
